FAQ’S
Are you cattle grass-fed?
Our cattle are pasture-raised, so they do graze on grass, but that is not their only source of nutrition. They are fed balanced rations according to their stage, which consists of ground-up hay, corn stock, grain, minerals, vitamins, and other protein sources.
What do your cattle eat?
Our cattle are fed balanced rations according to their stage, which consist of alfalfa, corn stocks, silage, wet distillers, vitamins, and minerals, and other protein sources. Their rations are formulated by a nutritionist to maximize weight gain while maintaining the cattle’s health.
Are your cattle organic?
No, our beef is not certified Organic. The USDA’s Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) would need to certify the feed is 100% organically grown. We do not see the need for this right now. We believe our amazing, fresh, farm-to-table beef, speaks for itself.
What Grade is Beutler Beef?
Our beef is processed at a small, local facility near our farm that does not offer a grading system. With our herds consistent genetics, our beef typically grades at prime or above.
Where do you get your cattle butchered?
We currently get our cattle butchered and inspected at ASC Lockers in West Point, NE, and The Blair Meat Market in Blair, NE. Both locations are 15 minutes to 1 hour from our farm.
How long do your cattle age?
Our cattle hang for a minimum of two weeks before getting butchered.
Where is your Farm?
Our farm is located in Pender, NE
